I haven't posted anything prior so am likely stranger to ya all.  Hey is anyone interested in training for Pike's Peak? Anyone done it and have any feedback or tips? I wasn't really sure where to put on this site but figured this would get attention...

Place:
United States, Boise, Bogus Basin
Description:

Meet at the old Ridley's grocery store lot on Bogus Basin road at 6:45.  The run starts at the Bogus Basin Nordic Lodge (straight ahead past the snow tube hill) at 7:30.  I'm putting in a little over 8 miles starting at 6:00, so I'll meet you at the start.  I'll carry my cell phone so we can synchronize.  We are taking the Nordic trails: Nordic Connector to Lower Loop, Lower Loop to Lower Loop cutoff, Lower Loop cutoff to The Flush, Flush to Redtail extension, Redtail to the Nordic Highway, Nordic Highway to Shafer Butte extension, and follow this past the picnic area to Shafer Butte.  Shafer Butte Rd. (374) to the cutoff trail towards Deer Point, and then down the trail from there to the Lodge complex and back to the Nordic center.  This is somewhere near 12 miles,....I think.  Here is a link to the Nordic map so you can get a feel for the route.  See you there.

The 12-mile section starts after mile 8 on the route map below.  It was impossible to route some of the Nordic trails because the trails are not visible from satellite.  The map is very coarse in this section.
